Copieur
system and the environment |
| |
 |
At present, globally
it is estimated that on average the production of a photocopier
requires approximately 2.1 tonnes of “raw materials”,
many of which are becoming rare (water, copper, aluminium
O2) and some, minor in terms of quantities which are harmful
for the environment. |
| |
|
 |
So as to illustrate and
understand the stakes, the carbon footprint of computer,
office and electronic equipment, which is larger than that
of the average photocopier is equal to that produced by
the civil aviation sector: approximately 3% of total emissions. |
| |
|
 |
In this context, prolonging
the lifetime of equipment (photocopiers) allows for a significant
reduction in their carbon footprint. |
| |
|
 |
Currently we are working
on our capacity and offer a service to collect all professional
waste electrical and electronic equipment. |
| |
|
 |
We are doing this with
a design and spirit of restoration identical to that of
photocopiers ; that is, the re-use of equipment and/or
collection of parts and assemblies for repair and sale
of parts, all of this at reduced cost. |
| |
|
 |
In order
to undertake this, a Management System has been implemented
which incorporates all business activities. |
